Our dog collars and leashes are hand built in Truckee, CA and Lake Tahoe. All parts are purchased in California. The custom Lake Tahoe art is designed by Tahoe Dog Gear and is sublimated into the strong and durable 1 inch wide polyester webbing (heat gassed into the fabric, NOT printed on top). All your quick-dry fitness gear is made from polyester, so it should be on your athletic dog too! The DuraFlex Big Dog Wienerlock side release buckle is made to handle heavy loads and abuse. Molded from Dupont acetal, it has the ability to resist moisture through absorption and performs very well under freezing or arid conditions (unlike those cheap nylon buckles).

Our deluxe dog leashes have a close restraint handle sewn in for those bear, deer, coyote, squirrel, poop, people, mountain bike, and other encounters. Our premium one handed black casted swivel snap hook makes attaching to the collar fast and secure.   

It's all held together with our tough as Truckee bar tack stitching. Our fun Tahoe Dog Gear label is proudly sewn on to show your dog's Tahoe lifestyle.

Why choose polyester webbing for your dog collar and leash material?

Tahoe Dog Gear dog collars are made of a very strong polyester material. The tensile strength of polyester webbing is outstanding, as it is the same material in which automobile seat belts are made. Polyester webbing is hydrophobic, meaning that it does not absorb water when it gets wet, thus making is more resistant to mold and mildew. Note, nylon collars absorb water, making them a stinky nightmare for your dog. Always choose polyester collars for your dog! 

Our original artwork is designed by Tahoe Dog Gear. Our custom-made polyester webbing cannot be found anywhere else. The artwork is infused directly into the fabric using a high-temperature dye-sublimation process. This allows the designs and colors to last without washing out or peeling.
